    Description:
    One Japanese antique wood carved netsuke in the shape of a man holding a giant fish. It appears to be depicting the folklore hero Benkei, or Oniwakamaru, fighting the monstrous carp. No marking.
    While the details of the fish and the facial features are clear, the edges are worn down and rounded up. The color of those areas turned into brownish red, contrasting with the much darker color of the other areas were less worn.
    Measurement:
    About 1 7/8" long, 1 1/4" tall.
