    Description

A rare and beautiful antique Japanese 4 tier INRO with original Ojime.  1858 - 1868.
Exquisitely hand carved wood (it is a most amazing feeling the underside...the turtle feels real.)
The Inro is a little over 4"inches long and 2.5"inches wide. The Ojime is hand carved bovine bone.
Dates to the Meiji period.  Unsigned, attributed to the Tadakazu.
An Inro is a small multi tiered box.  It hung from the Obi sash and accompanied with Ojime
and netsuke.  (There is no netsuke on this).
This Inro is in excellent shape.
This is part of a collection of from a larger extensive collection of Japanese artifacts and pottery.
