    Description

    Small Netsuke or Ojime Bead that appears to be carved out of Boxwood, in the form of a cat sitting curled-up in/on a clam shell or seashell. Signed/marked on the bottom (of the shell). One hole is drilled through the center-top all the way through for it’s traditional use, as a toggle-bead. Exact age unknown but believed to be late 19th century.
    Features black glass eyes.
